Class

So last night was awesome. The writing group I sat in on was a lot more than I expected - although I didn't really know what to expect. I was able to meet a few people who are very involved in the community and have offered me a chance at helping them do some of their charity work. Hopefully it will lead me in a direction that will show me what I want to do with my life because I am at a loss right now......

The Writer???

For some unexplainable reason I see writing in my future. In college I was an English major and for whatever reason the urge to write has come upon me. I have been reading about 3 books a week for a few months now and have decided "I can do that". We shall see....

I figure I should start small and with what I know. All day I have been thinking about kids books, my life, what make a good story. Then, it hit me. My neighbor put a pamphlet on my porch a few weeks ago and I have procrastinated going to talk to him. He apparently produces movies (and is very successful at it) and is currently teaching / holding classes at his home for a writing group. So today, I put on my makeup and my best work-at-home clothes and went to introduce myself. He invited me to his class tomorrow night!!! I AM SO EXCITED! Who knows what will come of it but I may meet some friends, do some networking, and even learn a thing or two.......

Behind....again

So I began the new year thinking that I would do better with the blog. Obviously I have miserably failed. My news years resolution went out the window fairly quickly. It seems that since we moved I have no time to myself and when I do the computer is the last thing I want to see. Although writing has always been fairly cathartic for me.


Since my last post we have started swimming lessons, and by we I mean Aidan, although I should make it a goal to learn to swim before I turn 30. We have gone to the zoo twice. Finally, we have taken some amazing photos of it snowing outside. My wonderful boyfriend went outside in his slippers to get some great shots for me because I didn't want to be that cold! However, the one to your right is one I took of the tree in our front yard. It was amazingly gorgeous.


Once again, I hope to turn back time and force myself to keep my family up-to-date on our busy lives!
