Apparently I'm 41

This past weekend we decided to go to Best Buy for a TV and computer. We bought neither but instead ended up getting a Wii Fit. I had been looking for one for nearly a year because I thought it would be ideal for my lifestyle. Bottom line, I'm not coordinated and exercising in public isn't the least bit appealing to me. I digress. We had a dinner, came home, hooked it up, and took the Wii Fit age test....... 41. Holy S&#%!!!!!! Apparently I am unbalanced and have a little "extra" to loose . I am on the "high end" of Average for my height and weight. Ouch. I thought I just needed to tone up a little but apparently I need to lose a little too!!! So, bright and early Monday morning I began my exercise regime with fervor.

Today I passed. I was too sore to get out of bed!!!! How sad is that! I sat in bed thinking, "Wow, I am really out of shape." So, I have decided to ease myself into this new phenomenon my body is experiencing and try every other day for the next two weeks and then GAME ON!!!!

Aidan stayed the night with a friend not too long ago. It was a last minute thing and so he didn't take any clothes over. So, his friend's mom dropped by to get an overnight bag. Imagine my surprise when his friend's mom asked me if he had BRAIN SURGERY?! WHAT?!? Be kind rewind. While my mind was computing it all I said "No, his head is just that big." Not what I should have said but why would she ask that...... well, my lovely little angel told her that he fell while riding his bike (which he can't even do) and he had to go to the hospital and have brain surgery?! Didn't see that coming. I brought him over and asked him and he looked at his friend's mom and said "I was just kidding!". Wow. Wonder what he tells other people who don't have the nerve to ask me about it!

Aidan had a sleepover

Aidan has his first sleepover last night. His friend from school came over and they had pizza and watched movies - and stayed up way too late for me! I guess that is what it is all about. Tonight he is staying there! What am I going to do with an unexpected night alone?! He is growing up way too fast.

He was also a little camera shy - but not his friend! Mom has started to be a little embarrassing! :P

Easter!

We had so much fun having Easter at our house!! This is exactly why we moved here. We had at least 20 dozen easter eggs for the kids to find and food that wouldn't end!!!

I just want to be an artist.....

In an attempt to have me hand over the markers (which I fear on white carpet), Aidan pleaded with me, "Mom, I just want to be an artist." What can I say to that?! This is the picture he gave me to hang in my office.

1. Who was your FIRST prom date? Regan Bassick - had a blast, but looking back at the photos I could have lost about 20 lbs. No "Freshman 15" for me, it was "Senior 20".

2. Do you still talk to your FIRST love? Yep, a couple of times a month.

3. What was your FIRST alcoholic drink? Jim Beam, in high school, no chaser

4. What was your FIRST job? Cycle Nuts & Bolts (Harley dealership) watching their sidewalk sales

5. What was your FIRST car? Silver Pontiac 6000 - it had issues - couldn't got up a hill at more than 5 miles an hour with the gas peddle floored

6. Who was the FIRST person to text you today? Nobody - my friends use the phone :)

7. Who is the FIRST person you thought of this morning? Jim

8. Who was your FIRST grade teacher? Can't remember. I can see her face but no name..... obviously didn't make an impression on me! My kindergarten teacher was Mrs. Carroll and second grade Mrs. Yates.

9. Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane? Boise to Oakland with my journalism class when I was a Junior!!!

10. Who was your FIRST best friend & do you still talk? Jamilla. When she calls or I catch her on Facebook!! We were in 1st grade together (maybe she remembers the teachers name!).

11. Where was your FIRST sleeep over? Don’t remember. Probably with my friend Camille since our families were close by and I remember 'campouts'.

12. Who was the FIRST person you talked to today? Aidan, a beautiful conversation about Crunch Berries being his FAVORITE cereal.

13. Whose wedding were you in the FIRST time? One of my mom's friends. I was 5 and couldn't tell you her name - the flower girl dress sucked then too.

14. What was the FIRST thing you did this morning? Checked email - sick huh.

15. What was the FIRST concert you ever went to? Beach Boys - don't remember much but they played at the BSU stadium and my mom took me in my Red Ryder wagon.

16. FIRST tattoo? A sunset over mountain on my right hip in 2005.

17. FIRST piercing? 8, my ears. My aunt took me and my mom was pissed.

18. FIRST foreign country you visited? Mexico, January 2008.

20. When was your FIRST detention? Never, I always had a plan and if there was any way I was going to get caught, I didn't do it!

21. What was the FIRST state you lived in? Idaho, for 25 years.

22. Who was your FIRST roommate? Boyfriend at that time (soon to be husband and then ex-husband) and a guy named Chuck.

23. If you had one wish. What would it be? Marriage???? You said wish.

24. What is something you regret? Can I say getting married but still have my little boy??? I was too young to get married, too soon to know what love really felt like. I wish I would have waited.
