New Job
Tomorrow I start my new job. I am nervous, Jim is excited. This is the first job I have had outside of the sporting goods industry since 1997. Eeek. Jim is pretty sure I will love it once I start. His main point is that I will have adult conversation. I will tell you that Aidan and I have had some pretty great conversations over the past few months. For those of you who don't know, I will be working at AmeriBen in their marketing department. AmeriBen is a third-party benefits administrator. Completely different from selling guns! The thing I'm most nervous about is how to dress! Silly but I've worn jeans to work for nearly 15 years! On the plus side Jim took me shopping for new work clothes! More to come later this week. After I have a few days under my belt. Also, I will have pictures from Aidan playing baseball! It is that time again!

Sick Kid
Aidan is never sick. He got strep last year and has allergy problems but I have never seen him like this. The flu has hit him hard. He was so bummed to be inside when it was nice out this weekend and kids were playing and then he had to miss the Valentine's Day party at school. We are at Day 4 and it is looking up now! We hope that after a good nights sleep he may be able to make it to school tomorrow!

Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day! Jim and I exchanged "gifts" last night. We had decided since he was gone so much that we would celebrate when he got home at the end of the month but, like always, he broke his promise! That's okay! I gave him a card and he gave me a beautiful necklace and earring set. I cannot believe how much I love this man. We have been together for 4 years and I can't image anyone I would rather be with. He is my favorite person and best friend!
As a side note, the stone is called Larimar. It is a rare blue variety of pectolite found only on a single square kilometer protected by a dense rainforest in the the Dominican Republic. I am spoiled rotten!

I love your laf
I was told I couldn't "tease" Aidan about this little note. I figure he won't be looking at this blog anytime soon. Apparently, my little boy has an admirer at school!!!

Moved....
So, it has been a very long time since I updated the blog! Time has flown and many things have changed!
We are now living in Boise. A full circle for me and a first for Jim. He quit Sportsman's after 8+ years in October. It was a hard decision to make but seems to be an awesome one so far. I worked there a couple of more months before we made the move. Now I am a stay-at-home almost wife and mom. I am working on the side from home writing some online descriptions for Amazon for a guy Jim works with. As long as it is paying some of the bills I'm good with it! I am able to take Aidan to school and pick him up. So far, so good.
We started out buying a house but that fell apart three days before closing. What a mess. Now we live in a cute little home in northwest Boise and may just buy the place. Still too early to tell but it is an option (so we don't have to move again). Part of me wishes we would have gotten the house we were buying but now I think it may have been too small.....odd how things seem to figure themselves out.
I have a million photos on my camera that I need to upload and I will get around to that in the coming weeks. I'm thinking about challenging myself to blog everyday. Even if it is just a photo or a quick blurb about my day.... we shall see.
